PhonLim Symposium 2023 (May 12th)
“Deviations from the norm and boundaries in speech-language pathology”
The symposium will take place in Lecture Hall 1, building « Formations Sanitaires » on the Vanteaux Campus of the University of Limoges,
39F Camille Guérin Street 87000 Limoges
PhonLim is the Symposium of Phonetics and Phonology in Limoges. The first PhonLim edition focused on deviations from the norms and outliers in language acquisition, second language learning and in linguistic variation. This new edition raises the issue of deviations from the norms through the prism of speech-language pathology, be it in perception or production (spoken or written). PhonLim 2023 calls for papers investigating the elaboration of norms and their limits in Language science and Language therapy, data-interpretation based on specific norms evaluating speech or language proficiencies in general, or the interaction between language pathology and multilingualism.
We welcome papers on the topics below but other topics regarding language therapy, speech production or perception can be submitted too.
● Testing & evaluation in Language Therapy
● Subnormal results and/or outliers
● Atypical patient profiles
● Differential diagnosis.
We encourage papers in any language but with a presentation either in French or in English. Simultaneous translations (French <=> English) will be provided.
