Biography 

Alain Sauviat earned his Ph.D. in 1990 and is a Professor of Economics at the University of Limoges (France) since 1994. Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics from 2000 to 2005, Director of the SHS Research Institute of the University of Limoges from 2005 to 2009, Vice-President CEVU of the University of Limoges from 2005 to 2010, he is currently the Dean of the Faculty and the co-director of the Master 2 “Métiers de la banque de détail”. His research interests are in the areas of monetary economics and banking economics including the analysis of interactions between local banking structures and local development.
